How did I get here?

 

My ending up in Galway was purely accidental - I had been living in a couple of different countries in Europe for a few years beforehand and I had a notion of going to Ireland for a few weeks holidays before moving back to Slovenia. I knew I was in "trouble" the very first week in Galway when I left the hostel and rented a room. My couple of weeks holiday has now been extended to 7 years and counting!

I simply love it here and I call Galway my home now. It is hard not to be sucked into the local way of living in Galway, from farmers markets to plenty of foodie places not to mention all the music and various festivals all year 'round... It sure is "great Craic" as the Irish say!
